Explore two iconic ensemble numbers from musicals like "Matilda" or "Hamilton" and work on character development, vocal interpretation and choreography.

Vocal Coach / Music Director

April Lisette Ball

April Lisette is an award-winning musician and vocalist from Albuquerque, New Mexico with over 15 years of teaching experience. She is currently an actor, singer, and educator based in Boston, Massachusetts, and holds an MFA in Musical Theatre Vocal Pedagogy from Boston Conservatory at Berklee and a BA in Music Performance from New Mexico Highlands University. Some credits include New Mexico (Aida, Children of Eden, Sister Act), Arizona (Great American Playhouse), Massachusetts (Violet), and film (In the Wake, Spy Balloon). As a pianist and vocal pedagogue, April has accompanied students in Carnegie Hall, Internationally in Toronto at The Royal Conservatory of Music, and many other recitals and has served as faculty at Berklee. Her students have won first place in singing and acting competitions, been accepted into music and musical theatre programs at the American Academy for Dramatic Arts, Interlochen Arts Academy, University of Evansville, and Long Island University, and are currently working in Off-Broadway shows, national tours, regional productions and performing on cruise ships all around the world. Choreographer

Jonathan Ragsdale

Jonathan Ragsdale is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in the theatrical industry. After attaining a BFA in Musical Theatre & Dance from the University of New Mexico, he has gone on to perform all over the world as an actor, singer, and dancer. Credits include: Television (Breaking Bad, In Plain Sight, Crash) National Tours (Memphis, Finding Neverland, Fame, Elf the Musical) Regional Theatre (Cats at Woodstock, Mamma Mia! at Ogunquit Playhouse) and at sea with several major cruise lines (Swing! the Musical with NCL) including the “worlds most luxurious cruise ship” the Seven Seas Splendor. As a choreographer and director, he has been part of creating hit shows like Avastars for Santa Fe Opera, Newsies and In the Heights for Musical Theatre Southwest, Footloose at Albuquerque Little Theatre, and a bilingual production of Children of Eden (in spoken English and ASL) for PLAY Conservatory. Jonathan continues to perform, create, and teach all over the US and abroad. IG: @JRags
