TALKIN' BROADWAY
SISTER ACT REVIEW BY: DEAN YANNIAS

March 2018

"The star, of course, is Deloris, played here by April Lisette. Where has this woman been? She's a bundle of energy. Henry Avery, the director, was lucky to get her for this role, which suits her perfectly. I've never seen her on an Albuquerque stage before, and I sure hope that this isn't the last time."

ALBUQUERQUE JOURNAL
CHURCH AND DISCO MEET IN 'SISTER ACT' BY: MATTHEW YDE

March 25, 2018

"April Lisette plays Van Cartier with equal parts sexy disco diva and astute comic lead, and she is a talented vocalist to boot."

THE YOUNG RAZZCALS: JAZZ PROJECT, VOLUME 2

July 1, 1998

The principal vocalists are 12-year-old Brynn Rector, Hilary Good, and guitarist Anna Kongs (each 13). Eighteen-year-old April Ball and trumpeter Laura Eaton (13) do the honors on "Corcovado."

It works. And so do these young musicians, who, considering their ages, are simply outta sight. The future of Jazz? Let us hope so.
