TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
A Dedicated Music Instructor
It is my goal to establish the best possible experience for each student and provide a fun and safe atmosphere in which to discover, learn and embrace their unique selves. Everyone learns differently, so whether in voice, piano or acting, goals will be established for each student while maintaining professional standards and demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
I engage myself in other activities such as master classes, reading and research to keep myself up to date with the latest information in voice science and teaching styles in order to provide opportunities for professional growth and enhance my own skills.
I have training in several different body movement, speech and voice techniques including Linklater, Lessac, Viewpoints, Fitzmaurice, Laban and Suzuki.
I love teaching just as much as performing! It makes me happy to share my passion with others. Since starting as a professional Music Instructor in 2011, I’ve been privileged to learn and grow from my students as they themselves discover their natural skills and abilities and reach results they never dreamed were possible. I have students who have won first place in singing and acting competitions, accepted into Interlochen Arts Academy, Music and Musical Theatre programs at University of Evansville and Long Island University and are currently working in Off-Broadway shows, national tours, regional productions and performing on cruise ships around the world.
